Mr. Lorenza Rozier Sr., 70, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home in Alameda, CA. A 1967 graduate of Oconee High School in Dublin, GA. Mr. Rozier was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served in the U. S. Air Force from 1969 to 1977 then the U. S. Navy 1980 to 1990 until his retirement. He had a love of music, nature and art and had a kind heart for all in need.
Survivors include his three children, Lorenza “Chico” Rozier, Jr., Shanell Rozier Cox, and Teresa Rozier Bolden; five grandchildren: Kassy Ovueraye, Xavier Cox, Glenn Bolden, Jr., Taylor Cox and Brendon Bolden; one great-grandchild, Sky Neveah King; his brothers, Jack Perry and Leon Perry; his sisters Monica Terry; Effie Mae Perry, Jacqueline Stallworth, and Minnie Espino; his uncles, Willie Rozier and Daniel Rozier, Sr., Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Rozier was preceded in death by his mother Lula Rozier along with his brothers and sisters, Eunice Crude, Albert Perry, Melvin Perry and J. B. Perry.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation in honor of Mr. Rozier Sr. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Mr. Rozier Sr. will be laid to rest at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Rozier Sr. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Conference Center, 2121 US Hwy 441 South, Dublin, GA, 31021.
